Following is a tentative schedule that we will be updating as we have confirmation of the U18 Nationals location, gyms, Showcase players and presentations. If there’s anything in particular you would like us to add/remove, please let us know and we will try to accommodate for it.

Please note that because of the logistics we can provide, we will not be able to accommodate more than 8-10 coaches and therefore we will be assigning spots on a first come-first served basis.

More information about Volleyrò Casal de Pazzi and Luca Cristofani

Volleyrò Casal de Pazzi is the most decorated club team of the past 5 years. They hold the U18 Italian Champion Title for the past four years in the row. On the U16 age group they won second place last year and were Italian Champion the three years before then. The club is, without a doubt, the top level of Italian juniors volleyball.

Luca Cristofani is a decorated coach who has won all titles the Italian volleyball system can offer (except for the A1… for now). He has won 10 Italian juniors championships, the first one back in 1995. He’s also won the Serie C, Series B2, B1 and the A2. He was the Head Coach of the Peruvian National Team in 2011-2012 and assistant coach in the Italian Senior National Team who won the Mediterranean Games in 2013.  He coached the Italian U23, U20 and U18 teams for the past 7 seasons and is the currently, and for the past 5 seasons, Technical Director of Volleyrò Casal de Pazzi.

More information about U18 Nationals

Italian Nationals follow a 2-round championship. Sixteen teams divided into 4 pools of 4 teams will arrive on Tuesday, June 12th and play games on the afternoon of the 12th and all day the 13th. The first team on each pool will automatically qualify for the final round which will get started on Thursday, June 14th in the afternoon. The final round will also be of 16 teams of which 12 were direct qualifiers plus the 4 teams qualifying from the first round. The Final match will be held on Sunday at around 12:00pm following the 3th - 4th  place match.

Nationals will be held in Bormio (Sondrio) way up north in Italy, almost Switzerland. For coaches planning to come to all 10 days of the trip starting in Rome, we will make arrangements for transportation to Bormio from Rome. Coaches looking to come straight to Nationals need to contact us to get specific information about closest airports, trains and the possibility of being picked up or arranging for train transportation.

Many of the players at Nationals will be 2019 and 2020 prospects. Here in Italy kids finish to play juniors (U18) on their 4th year of high school but then they need a 5th year to graduate and so all of the players you will see at Nationals will be at least 2019 (except a few who may graduate early in 2018) and many others 2020 and 2021.

Note: Nationals in Italy are held in 4 different gyms usually not walking distance from each other. Our service will provide 2 different vehicles to take coaches to and from all 4 different locations. This way coaches will not be forced to see a particular game but we will suggest which are the best matches to go see and coaches will decide where to go.

More information about the Showcase

The 2017 edition of the Showcase (the first one we organized) proved to be a fantastic event for coaches and players. Coaches from 8 different programs participated and gave valuable feedback to make this year’s edition even better. Thirty players from all around Italy (and Slovakia) learned important information on how to become collegiate student-athletes.

The Showcase this year will host 30-35 players who have strong intentions to go to the USA. Most will be 2019 to 2022 prospects with a few transfers (currently in Junior Colleges or Italian Universities) and we are hoping to add a few athletes from outside Italy. Players will take a simulation of the TOEFL and you will be able to have all player’s results, videos and contact information.

2017 edition Highlights video coming soon
